Black Hole 101

At this writing, we’re preparing our fifth season of AGENT STOKER. And it promises to be our most celestial.

While almost every question faced by our hero has been solidly earthbound, occasionally we’ve had moments where we’re yearning skyward. True, as much as we call ourselves “the X-FILES with a drinking problem,” the Night Brigade hasn’t really faced aliens in and among its vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other apocalyptica. Yet starting in Season Two, we started discussing dark matter and dark energy — and in a dramatic moment in Season Four, one of our characters ascended skyward to unite with the dark energy out there in the cosmos.

So how do these phenomena play into Season Five? To be honest, we’re still figuring it out. But the questions we’re considering include:

— how would someone generate a black hole in a lab?

— are there prime numbers hiding inside black holes?

— is it possible to construct a “black hole bomb” — ?!

From the start, we’ve thought of this show as BLACK MIRROR meets THE SHADOW, and with the cosmic science available to us, Season Five may be our most transcendent. Stay tuned!
