Where is the Night Brigade?

Today our logo was updated on all podcast apps, because we’re nearing the end of post-production on Season 4 — !

We commissioned our amazing logo from comics artist Matthew Southworth, and every season we shift the colors around to something a shade more unsettling than the previous season. But the whole image, of Agent Stoker caught mid-cocktail by the realization that something sinister is afoot, remains and will remain intact. Why would we mess with a great thing?

We ended last season with the apparent destruction of the universe — after teasing it for nearly three years, it felt right to pull the switch. It was revealed in Episode 312 that our malevolent schizoid AI, EnGAGE, had figured out how to create a funnel in New York to feed all of our world to an elder god. How could anyone survive this? How could Agent Stoker and the Night Brigade stop it all?

Very soon we’ll release Episode 401 — which DOESN’T begin with the voice of Agent Stoker. Is he still alive, and if so, in what form? Who’s making an incident report in his place?

Right here we’ll also reveal that not only do we NOT reunite with Agent Stoker right away (if at all) in Season 4, but also that honestly? Agent Stoker DIDN’T stop the end of the world.

So who did? And what happened to them? And why is there no trace of the Night Brigade anymore?

We’re excited about Season 4, in which we look at the costs paid by the people who stepped up to avert the apocalypse. Can they be found? And what threats are arising in their absence?
